A Saturday Afternoon of Jazz and a dance party featuring Joe Stevenson pianist. Joe plays keyboards, trumpet, melodica and he sings. Joe, a graduate of Central High School in Philadelphia, has been playing music professionally since high school. Music helped him pay his way through school. After graduating from college, with a B.S. degree, Joe spent two years in the army where he soldiered in the day and played music in Tokyo at night. After the army, Joe went into the teaching profession he went back to school and earned his degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. Joe spends most of his time playing music and doing volunteer work.

A Saturday Afternoon of Jazz featuring Bootsie Barnes. Robert "Bootsie" Barnes is an American jazz tenor saxophonist from Philadelphia. Bootsie began his musical career at age 6 on piano switching to drums at 10. His grandmother gave him a saxophone at age 19 and he knew he had found his niche. Today, "Bootsie" Barnes is known as "the man with the 'Tenor Touch'" because of his dynamic style on the tenor saxophone. His smooth and distinct sound is easily recognizable whether softly caressing a ballad, or swinging hard, during live performances or on CD.
